Challenge

  • Rutgers Business School has an outdated Salesforce instance that caused frequent issues

  • Executive Education has a separate Salesforce instance that is not integrated with the rest of Rutgers Business School

  • Many departments and offices within are not on Salesforce and do not have organized processes

  • The IT team did not have the capacity to lead the discovery process needed internally to reorganize their Salesforce instance

Solution

  • We held around 20 discovery calls with all Rutgers Business School departments to discuss processes, pain points, and goals

  • We created more than 20 different current and future state business process diagrams. These mapped out what is happening today and what would happen in an ideal scenario

  • We created a requirements document compiled from the paint points and goals expressed by each department

Result

  • Developed Salesforce solution definition detailing high-level system architecture and integrations

  • Created a Salesforce requirement list and prioritization for implementation

  • Provided a sprint plan to implement Salesforce and associated technology

  • Made recommendations for a restructuring of the tech stack

  • Made recommendations for required staffing to manage Salesforce infrastructure
