Solution

  • Developed an “Athletics Recruitment Hub” where coaches can track the status of their recruits

  • Provided coaches with a form to quickly add recruits on the go

  • Enabled Athletics coaches to view relevant Admissions data for their recruits and vice versa

  • Modified the object architecture within Salesforce by migrating from custom objects to standard EDA objects

  • Utilized the EDA Affiliations object to track Extracurricular interests for prospective students

  • Introduced the “Candidacy” object to track Admissions recruitment lifecycle data year-after-year for a prospective student

  • Introduced the “Scholarship” object to track the status of Scholarships that a student applies for

  • Modified the Salesforce sharing model within the Admissions department

Result

  • Athletics coaches can add potential recruits to the system while visiting coaching events

  • Athletics coaches are now able to view the Admissions and Financial Aid decisions for their recruits. This prevents back and forth conversations between coaches and Admissions counselors

  • Admissions counselors have all relevant data for a prospective student available to them at the Contact level

  • Historic prospective student data is no longer overwritten when a student reapplies

  • Provided a way for the Admissions Director to view and approve scholarships for prospective students

  • Improved Admissions Operations experience for maintaining student data
