The World Affairs Council of Philadelphia is a non-partisan, international affairs nonprofit with 130 years of expertise in connecting Philadelphia to the world. The Council helps advance Philadelphia’s understanding of the world by creating the next generation of global citizens and furthering Philadelphia’s position as an international hub for business, education, culture, and sub-national diplomacy. The Council curates speaker programs, professional development, youth education, and public diplomacy. They host global delegations and travels the world reaching more than 125 countries annually.

Challenge

  • De-dupe and migrate 30+ years of data from WACP existing CRM system Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and spreadsheets while WACP is the process of merging with another organization, Citizens Diplomacy International, whose data is stored in another CRM, Donor Perfect that also needs to migrated to Salesforce​

  • Program data is all stored inside of duplicate spreadsheets and Google Docs with no defined business process​

  • No existing Event Management tool or process currently exists​

  • Reproduction of membership and donation forms

Solution

  • Eigen X recommended purchasing Demand Tools to assist with the identification of duplicate records and merging of records inside of a Salesforce sandbox before pushing to production​

  • Eigen X recommended installing the Program Management Module inside of Salesforce to track programs. Once the module was developed, all program related data mapped and loaded into Salesforce​

  • Eigen X recommended Blackthorn Events for all event management processes to track event details, vendors, registration and attendees​

  • Eigen X recommended Form Assembly for capturing membership and donation information that can be stored inside of Salesforce​

Result

  • WACP purchased Demand Tools making the de-duping and merging of duplicate records easier

  • Eigen X installed and created program records for each of WACP programs where they can now track their program enrollment, program engagement and services​

  • All WACP events now live within Blackthorn Events which natively integrates with Salesforce and captures all event information for easy reporting​

  • WACP membership and donation forms are embedded on their website and utilize the Stripe connector to capture the payment process and sends the data back to Salesforce
