Job Details:
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intern will learn how to help customers design, build, and optimize personalized digital marketing experiences using the Salesforce Marketing Cloud suite of products and related Salesforce products. This role is designed for candidates who want to grow into a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant by developing both technical and strategic marketing skills.
In this role, the Intern will partner closely with Salesforce Marketing Consultants, Success Managers, and project teams to support customer implementations and ongoing marketing initiatives. The Intern will gain hands-on experience across email, mobile, journeys, data modeling, and marketing automation while learning how Marketing Cloud fits into a broader Salesforce ecosystem.
The result is improved customer engagement, increased platform adoption, measurable campaign performance, and long-term customer success.
Responsibilities:
Learn a high-level understanding of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud product line
Gain knowledge of core Marketing Cloud capabilities including creating and sending emails, building email journeys, creating audiences for email and SMS sends, automating manual work flows and assist with day-to-day campaign execution and platform support
Support Marketing Cloud Consultants in the design and configuration of customer journeys, campaign logic, and audience segmentation
Assist with building and testing email templates, dynamic content, personalization rules, and basic coding (i.e. tools such as AMPscript or SQL queries) under supervision
Help analyze campaign performance metrics such as opens, clicks, conversions, and engagement trends, and contribute to recommendations for optimization
Document campaign processes, data flows, and solution designs to help create reusable playbooks and implementation standards
Learn how Marketing Cloud integrates with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, and external systems
Leverage modern tools (including Trailhead and AI-assisted capabilities within Salesforce) to accelerate learning, content creation, analysis, and solution documentation
Shadow consultants during client discussions to understand marketing strategy, business requirements, and how technical configurations support business goals
Stay current on new Salesforce Marketing Cloud features, best practices, and industry trends in digital marketing and marketing automation
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Strong interest in digital marketing, CRM platforms, marketing automation, and customer engagement technologies
Basic familiarity with HTML/CSS and email design concepts.
Exposure to SQL, CDP platforms, SMS marketing, Google Analytics or general marketing analytics is a plus
Ability to think analytically about marketing data, customer behavior, and campaign performance metrics
Comfortable documenting processes, creating guides, and communicating technical concepts in a clear, structured way
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks while learning new technologies
Curiosity about how Salesforce products work together to support marketing, sales, and service use cases
Motivation to pursue a career path as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant
