Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Visualization Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analytics, with a particular emphasis on visualizing data effectively through charts, graphs, and dashboards. The Data Visualization Specialist should have a keen understanding of when to use the appropriate chart type, proficiency in dashboard layout, and a solid grasp of data visualization principles and best practices. Additionally, the candidate should have proficiency in UX/UI principles, integrating them into dashboard designs to ensure an intuitive and user-friendly experience for stakeholders interacting with the visualizations.
Responsibilities:
Analyze data sets to identify key insights and trends.
Visualize data using appropriate charts, graphs, and dashboards.
Ensure data visualizations are clear, concise, and effectively communicate insights.
Utilize pre-attentive attributes to enhance data visualization effectiveness.
Apply data visualization best practices to create compelling and informative visualizations.
Develop wireframes and prototypes for dashboards to outline layout and functionality.
Create a variety of dashboard templates tailored to diverse use cases, offering a range of layout options to accommodate different data visualization needs.
Develop dashboard style guides for color and typography.
Design aesthetically pleasing data dashboards that enhance user experience.
Incorporate basic principles of UX/UI and human-centered design into data visualization projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand user needs.
Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data visualization and analytics.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Data Visualization, Business Analytics, or related field.
3 to 5 years of experience in data analysis and visualization.
Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
Proven experience in data storytelling and presenting insights to stakeholders.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in developing pixel-perfect dashboards with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to incorporate icons or graphics into data visualization designs.
Demonstrate good eye for design, with the ability to create visually appealing and engaging data visualizations.
Experience in developing style guides for color and typography preferred.
Proficiency in prototyping design tool such as Canva, Figma, Sketch, or similar products.
Skilled in applying fundamental principles of UX/UI and human-centered design.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Passion for visualizing data and storytelling, with a drive to convey insights in compelling and meaningful ways.
