Powering Digital Transformation with FormAssembly: What’s New and What’s Next

At Eigen X, we’re always focused on delivering scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions to help our clients get the most out of their Salesforce investments. One of the tools that consistently supports that mission is FormAssembly, and our long-standing partnership with them continues to create value across industries.

Recently, our teams came together for a Lunch & Learn session led by Pratik, Senior Partner Account Manager at FormAssembly, to walk through the platform’s latest features, product enhancements, and roadmap updates. Whether you’re currently using FormAssembly or evaluating new ways to streamline data collection and automation, here are the key takeaways from the session.

Product Enhancements That Matter

Conditional Formatting via Text Fields
FormAssembly now supports conditional logic based on user input in a text field, in addition to the existing options for radio buttons and dropdowns. This allows forms to adapt more dynamically to what users type, offering a cleaner and more personalized experience.

Address Autocomplete
Google Maps-powered address autocomplete is now available natively in most plans. This was previously only possible with a third-party integration, but it now comes built-in for a smoother experience when capturing location data.

Form Audit Logs
A new audit tool allows administrators to view the full history and setup of any form, including connector activity, field validations, and response logs. This helps simplify troubleshooting and gives full visibility into form behavior without needing technical intervention.

Workflow Builder Upgrades

FormAssembly’s advanced Workflow Builder continues to evolve. It now features drag-and-drop functionality, allowing teams to build conditional logic flows, assign forms to different users, and automate communications based on form responses.

Workflow Cloning
A much-requested feature, Workflow Cloning, is now available. Teams can duplicate complex workflows to avoid rebuilding processes from scratch—saving time and ensuring consistency across projects.

Common use cases include student application processing, multi-stakeholder approvals, and assigning sections of a form to external contacts like parents or supervisors.

Mobile App Support Across Devices

FormAssembly now supports offline functionality through both iOS and Android apps. This is particularly useful for teams collecting data at in-person events or in low-connectivity environments. Once the device reconnects to the internet, all data is synced back to Salesforce automatically.

One caveat: dynamic lookup fields and real-time integrations won’t work offline. However, alternate versions of forms can be created to support offline use with simplified inputs.

Improved User Experience Features

Progress Bar
A native progress bar is now available for multi-page forms. It displays how far a user has progressed through required fields—no custom code needed. Additional functionality, such as progress based on all fields (not just required ones), is under consideration for future releases.

Conditional Submit Button
You can now make the submit button conditional based on specific inputs. For example, you could require a user to confirm eligibility before they can submit a form. Previously this required custom JavaScript; now it’s handled directly within the builder.

Simplified Publishing and New Integrations

Quick Publish
A new publishing method using JavaScript allows forms to be embedded once and automatically update with any changes made in FormAssembly. This eliminates the need for repeated manual re-embedding and simplifies long-term maintenance.

Microsoft Excel Connector
For clients using Microsoft tools, FormAssembly now supports pushing form data into Excel via its workflow builder. While this is currently a push-only integration and limited to higher-tier plans, it opens the door for more flexibility across platforms beyond Google Sheets.

Updated Plans and Licensing Options

FormAssembly recently rolled out a new pricing model. The older “Professional” and “Premier” tiers have been replaced by “Basic” and “Essentials.” These changes make it easier for smaller organizations to access advanced features like dynamic picklists and address autocomplete without jumping to enterprise pricing.

Connectors like Salesforce and Payment integrations are now offered as add-ons. For example, the Salesforce connector is $1,200/year for Essentials plans and above, and $800/year for Basic (push-only). Nonprofit discounts and partner pricing are available.

Licensing has also been updated to offer Standard and Limited users. This allows organizations to purchase lighter-weight licenses for field staff or event workers who only need mobile form access and don’t require full editing or admin capabilities.

Access to Resources and Certification

FormAssembly has launched a new Partner Community portal, built on Salesforce Experience Cloud. It includes deal registration tools, trial setup, partner-exclusive pricing details, and a library of product resources.

A complimentary FormAssembly Certification is also available to all partners. The course takes roughly 4 to 6 hours and provides a credential that can be added to your LinkedIn or resume to validate your knowledge of the platform.

Whether you’re in higher education, nonprofit, government, or commercial sectors, the platform’s expanding capabilities align perfectly with our approach to building smart, integrated, and user-focused Salesforce solutions.
