Challenge
-
Multi business processes for various countries and LOB that need to be consolidated to fewer Sales and Quote processes.
-
Excess of custom code that is complex to maintain that could have been done with standard components and flows.
-
Many integration points point to custom code processes that need overhauled.
-
Lack of partner visibility into order status, partner leads, partner opportunities, and price requests (quotes)
Solution
-
Work with Analyst team to identify areas of improvement for reducing the use of custom code and using built in native point and click solutions.
-
Reviewing existing custom code solutions to identify areas for improvement, updated to newer processes, and areas to be removed
-
Design and solution a community for partner visibility in salesforce to allow direct interaction between teams and ease of quick reorders for standard product cycles.
Result
-
Reduced reliance on developers to modify custom code by making it easier for Admin/Analyst team to make certain changes through standard point and click system.
-
Coach team on best practices to help them make better solutions that can be easily managed by that team and allow developers to focus on more custom tasks.
-
System is easier to maintain and more scalable as processes are more of a global nature and can be modified for specific locales allowing for easier integration of other systems.
